What is a fragrance oil?

Fragrance oils are ultra-concentrated liquid scent blends crafted to perfume a wide variety of products from candles and wax melts to soaps, lotions, reed diffusers, and room sprays, and more.

Unlike essential oils alone,
they combine nature’s aromatic extracts with carefully selected laboratory-created compounds to achieve consistent, long-lasting performance across many applications.

Difference between fragrance oil and essential oil

The fragrance oils Fragrance2U offers are specifically formulated for performance. Most of them contain essential oils, but their blend of aroma chemicals and functional ingredients makes them far more stable and consistent. They offer a much wider range of scents and are designed to perform flawlessly in applications like candles and soaps.

Essential Oils are 100% natural extracts from a single source. They are prized in aromatherapy but can be volatile. Their scent can change or even burn off when exposed to the high heat of melted candle wax. We go even more into detail about natural ingredients here!

Choosing a fragrance oil for your product

When choosing a fragrance oil for your product, start by thinking about the experience you want to create, whether it’s cozy and gourmand, fresh and clean, or bold and botanical. All of our fragrance oils perform beautifully in candles and soaps, so you can focus on finding the perfect scent profile for your brand or mood. To make things easy and safe, every fragrance includes an IFRA usage guide and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) right on the product page, so you’ll know exactly how it can be used.
